Campaign to support the 6 Iranians who have been on hunger strike for 37 days against their deportation to Iran
From the 5th of April till the 11th of May 2011 (thirty-seven days) six Iranian men went on hunger strike. Three of the men sewed their lips closed. They went strike because their political asylum claims were rejected by the UK Home Office with unjust reason. All of the men have powerful claims that are backed by physical and material evidence. They hope that one day the Home Office will review their cases, and this time, consider them with comprehensive care.
On Wednesday the 11th of May 2011 they brought their hunger strike to an end, yet their struggle does not end here. Over the next few months the men will face the bitter toils of the asylum process once again.
Act now and support these men in their fight over the next few months. Their deportation by the UK government could lead to their execution in Iran. Stop this now.
